There is a vacancy for the position of Churchwarden. Anyone who is interested in learning more about what this important role entails should speak to Fr Thomas in the first instance. A special election will be held in due course for the remainder of the term (which is up until the next APCM in May 2027). The role & duties are varied, but principally as per Canon E1 of the Church: + Churchwardens when admitted are officers of the bishop. + They shall be foremost in representing the laity and in co-operating with the incumbent + They shall use their best endeavours by example and precept to encourage the parishioners in the practice of true religion and to promote unity and peace among them. + They shall also maintain order and decency in the church and churchyard, especially during the time of divine service.

As in previous years, we will pray by name for the Departed of the parish at the Sung Mass on All Soul’s Day If you would like to add any names to the Annual Parish List, please write them on the form at the back of church by Sunday 25th October.

“It's that time of the year when we'll need lots of poppies for our displays both inside & outside in the courtyard. The poppies can be fabric, knitted or crocheted. It would also be lovely to have some poetry etc. as well. If you can help, please speak to me after Mass. Many thanks. Fiona”

Saturday 7th November 9:30am – 12:30pm Books, Clothes, Bric-a-brac, Glassware, with a variety of other stalls including a Raffle and refreshments from the Crypt Cafe. All proceeds from the Sale are used for the ongoing costs associated with running our Church together with supporting our Church Mission. Everyone is welcome to join us.

On Saturday November 28th we are holding a Christmas Fayre to coincide with the Kings Road Market and Frost Fayre, including a Christmas tombola which is always popular; but we need items for the tombola, could you offer help? We need Christmas items like - Chocolates - Cheese Biscuits - Selection boxes - Yule Logs - Christmas puddings - Christmas cakes - Christmas socks - anything Christmas themed! Just look for Tina Grevett at church and had them to her or alternatively Sue Shaw in the Parish Office 9-12 Mondays and Tina in the office 9-12 on a Wednesday. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Wide variety of donated books for sale, all sorted into categories. Reasonably priced, all proceeds to Church running & Mission costs. Book Room, Christ Church Parish Centre, Church Courtyard (far left hand door) London Road. St Leonards. Everyone is very welcome to come and have a browse and pickup a bargain.

A number of people have asked if we can run a coffee morning again on Wednesday after the 1030am Low Mass. This would be a wonderful thing to do to offer fellowship & socialising after this growing mid-week service, but would need volunteers to set-up and get things going. Sunday School is not currently running. Families are very welcome to join all Masses and services.
